Birds, Beaches & Bays – Sheldon’s Marsh State Nature Preserve and Old Woman Creek State Nature Preserve

Wednesday, April 14, 2021

9:30 AM – 3:30 PM EST

Join Museum naturalists as we check out two particularly important Ohio birding sites. We will start at Sheldon’s Marsh, a 470-plus-acre mecca of shoreline and marsh habitat along Sandusky Bay, and search for the incredible variety of bird species attracted to this wetland system. Our next stop will be the 573-acre Old Woman Creek State Nature Preserve and National Estuarine Research Reserve. This site features a number of terrestrial and aquatic habitats, including a barrier sand beach, marshlands, upland forests, and more.
