Join Dr. Jim Bissell for a discussion on the North Kingsville Sand Barrens and why wildfires are so important to the ecology of the land. Hear about the similarities between the sand barrens and the lodgepole pine forests within the Tetons and Yellowstone and about the various plant species who have adapted to wildfires, including the Bicknell's geranium, racemed milkwort, and native lupine. View unique specimens and hear stories of Jim’s work in this special DiscoverE event.
