What better way to dive into the City Nature Challenge than to get out of the city and jump into a wild area? Join us for a mini bioblitz cataloging life at Mentor Marsh. As we explore, we’ll be taking part in the 2026 City Nature Challenge. We’ll show you how to use iNaturalist, a handy app for identifying and recording native plant and animal species. When you use iNaturalist, you'll gradually build a list of all the species you’ve found—some people have thousands of species on their lists!—all while contributing to a global citizen science project. Observations recorded on this hike will represent a contribution to the local Northern Ohio team.
