Amphibian Exploration at Geneva Swamp
Saturday, March 26, 2022
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM EST
Breeding habitat for frogs and salamanders is abundant at the Museum's Geneva Swamp Preserve. In addition to its naturally occurring wetlands, the Museum has constructed several enhanced vernal-pool wetlands at the site. We'll explore these wetlands at night and look for amphibians that rely on this unique habitat. Exploring vernal pools in the spring is an exciting and immersive experience—frogs will likely be calling if the weather is right, and salamanders should be on the move!
