PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Join the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Kent State University, and the Northeast Ohio Medical University for this FREE Life Science educator workshop. Participants will spend the day learning all about Dr. Tobin Hieronymus’s innovative research on birds that questions established knowledge on voluntary and involuntary muscle control. Learn the story behind Dr. Hieronymus's science career and his ongoing journey to ask deepening questions that may change established scientific knowledge!

Along the way, you’ll learn about the methods issues he’s encountered and how he and other science professionals problem solve using creativity and technology. Put on your student and teacher hat as we explore this innovative research and how it connects to classroom curriculum in Life Science. This project is funded by the National Science Foundation Early-concept Grants for Exploratory Research (EAGER).

Delivery Mode: Virtual Zoom Platform
